Do you guys realize that this is going to probably be the biggest gathering of american engravers outside the Fega show. Wow!

This is going to be a special event for me. I will get to meet in person several people that I have only talked to on the phone, emailed with, or interacted with on forums.

We have not been to one of these before, is there anything I need to know?

I'm assuming that the dinner is somewhat casual, but just in case, is this steakhouse the kind of place I need to have a jacket and tie for?
Does anyone know?

I'm planning space in the bags and if I don't get my stuff in soon enough the wife will fill the bags and leave me with a duffel, if I'm lucky.

Tim,

Dinner is come as you are. If you show up in a dress with garter, hose and heels some of us may stare but we probably won't throw you out.:D

Most of us will be wearing jeans and a button up shirt. No tie required.

The food and service has been very good in years past and we have always had a great time.

I only dress like that for New Years and funerals

I'm looking forward to meeting everyone, I've been stuck down in Miami for 5 years while I had several surgeries, it will be great to get out of Dodge and see some of the world again.
