Default newb in Portland Maine.

Hi all.
Long time amateur wood carver, blacksmith, mechanic, and tattoo artist. Just discovered engraving and I am in LOVE. Right now I'm only using push gravers and working in aluminum, with no vice.
here is my first work.

Thank you. I started the piece with a rotary and finished the cuts with a borrowed set of stone setting gravers. I ended up making my own from a cheap jewelers file using a Clark style fixture and research online. I've learned a lot from the forum in a very short time.

Here are some closeups. The black is rustolium. The stippling around the flower was rotary, the depth of relief was push.

Hi,
There are engraving tools on the website ;

http://www.airgraver.com/Hand_Engrav...s_Overview.htm

Your work can be even better with the right tools,you have the general idea just refine the layouts and with some nice cutting with the engraving tools,your work will look great I am sure.
