Default My first bulino attempt

Well here it is my first attempt at bulino engraving, all dots no lines. It's a pain in the butt to photograph!! Any tips tricks in this area would be more than welcome! The bulino engraving is on a 1 inch (25.4 mm) dia. sterling silver disc, the baby tiger on both the scrimshaw and bulino piece are the exact same size, that is a U.S. quarter in front of the bulino engraving. I did the scrimshaw first so I would have the composition of the baby tiger down and be able to concentrate on method in the bulino piece. Any/all advice, questions, comments, criticisms are more than welcome. Hope you enjoy, Ron

That's very nice!
It seems that you will have hardly any trouble in changing techniques.
Thanks for showing.

Daniel

Nice job on this Ron! What a cutie. How do you like the technique compared to scrim?

Thanks Katherine You get the credit for me seeing/trying this stuff ya know........ I might have to hate you now! Just kidding I find that smaller/greater detail is possible in bulino vs. scrimshaw but the tip on your graver is of HUGE importance when it comes to the results. Learning scrim was a cake walk compared to what's involved with this stuff!
