Default First Post of my practice

Here is my first post of practice engraving. Constructive feedback is very welcome. It feels to me like my shading is off, there are a few bends but I thought it was time to get some feedback and suggestions. These are not my designs but rather my attempts to cut Steve's "cut along" plate and a practice plate template from attending Ray Covers beginner class.

Good practice! You're on your way.
How did Ray's class go? Was it in his new place?

I attended the beginner class last June and am excited to see his new place in person when I return this June for the intermediate class. The class was fantastic. Ray is an outstanding instructor who is able to take the mystery out of things and give students the confidence to push ahead and learn from cutting.

Everyone who was in my class last year is returning this year so it should be a great time meeting up with everyone to see how they are doing and learn where to move on to from here.

Thanks guys, I cut nearly every day before surgery and am getting back to that. Shading always looks off to me, I need to get more smooth and tapered cuts. Fortunately 1018 cold rolled is cheap and easy to get.
