Very beautiful engraving Ron! Fits the look of the knife well! Very nicely done! Wish I could have made it over for a visit while I was at the Harrisburg Sports show. Time just didn't allow for it though. Thanks for posting and always look forward to seeing more!

What a beautiful folder Ron!
The gold highlights seem a little like wings to me and capture some of an Art Deco feel while still being something unique.

I really like the design! There are a couple of places that look to me like you stretched or maybe even broke some of the design rules I hear about on the forum with great results!

Hi Ron, I tried 6 days for 2 years doing 2 jobs for employers. Did not work for me because I did not find my muse in what I was doing.
You must have, cause thats the only way you can keep your sanity and good health!
Seeing this knife makes me feel that you even wish you would have 8 days in a week.

Great design in a recognizable "Ron Style" !
I just love the leave's touching and crossing the boarders.

Daniel

Ron, you're doing some new things with your style that I like very much.

This knife is beautiful.

Daniel .... don't let Ron fool you. He works 8 days a week for 70 hours a day. He does funnel shots of coffee from a bucket his wife fills upstairs in the kitchen before leaving for work in the morning. I've seen it.

And here I was doing 6 days a week without these funnel shot's!
What was I thinking
Then I started doing 3 days for an employer and about 4 for myself WITHOUT THE FUNNEL SHOT'S!!!!
What was I thinking!!!
No I am doing 3 days for an employer and 3 days for myself, but still,
FORGETTING THE FUNNEL SHOT'S!!!!

Chris, please tell me how to insert these FUNNEL SHOTS!!!! I think I need them badly

Seems I am getting nowhere without them
Must be because whe don't have an upstairs.

The pictures don't do the knife justice. I got to handle the knife when one side was complete and it was absolutely beautiful. Nice work Ron!

hey Chris .. you where not suppose to tell any one about the funnel shots , now my secret is out .but i have been studying Lenard Francolini work for new ideas .

hey Dan ,, just give Chris a call , he has this spring water in his bunker that you run thru your funnel to a hose next to your engraving bench .. he calls it W. Virgina spring water but don't tell him i told you about it

hi Kirby .. thanks , it was good seeing you again at the show , your knives are looking great and don't forget about making some coffin handle folders ..

The finer an engraving job is, the harder it is for a picture to do justice to it. That is why it is important for beginners to go to gun and knife shows to see actual engraved samples. Of course visiting established engravers is even better. With actual engraved pieces in your hand you will discern subtleties that a picture doesn’t capture, especially bulino scenes and figures.

Excellent work Ron. Thanks for sharing so often on the forums.

Good one Ron. I can tell the photos are quick but I can see the overall shading effect and good balance of gold. The style layouts you’ve developed is distinct to you that collectors recognize. Thanks again for posting as you finish projects!

hi roger .. how right you are . photos don't show all of the fine detail in the engraving and the fine finish on the gun ,, thanks for your coments ..

hi Steve .. thanks to you also ..all of my work on these guns and knife is done with only one tool .. the AIR GRAVER i do all of my engraving ,gold inlays and fine shading with just one tool , i have been using the air graver now for about 6 years and never did i have a problem with it , i also engraver 7 days a week 8 hrs. a day .. it is strong and durable and holds up under the toughest of working conditions , also your new piston , that has made the toughest jobs very easy to do , i highly recommend to every one to get on and find out how much easier you can cut with this new piston .. thanks again Steve .. ron p
