Default New guy trying this out

Just trying to figure out how to do this. Been a drawing pro for 30 years and a welder for 20. Figured I would draw on metal. It's been two months since I started cutting pictures on steel. A lot of fun. Lindsay tools are AWESOME!!!

Welcome Jcillch! Drawing is a great part of it of you're good that that. The graver is the pencil. Just have to decide what to draw.

I like the work you've done in just 2 months of graver practice. You're doing good just keep it up and you will soon see the progress in leaps and bounds. One area of focus should be on graver control, light to dark and flare graver cuts. Notice your shading lines are all the same thickness. Each shade line should progress from thin to thick which will give you light to dark contrast. Check out Steves shading vidoes and you will see. And practice......JohnR
