Notice Passing of Master Goldsmith and sculptor
Hi,
For all the master goldsmiths and gold sculptors i would just like to let you know Henry Shawah has passed at 88 on June 29th in Cambridge Ma. Henry just finished his book covering his works which included special orders for kings, queens, and countries and was considered one of the finest goldsmith / sculptors in the world. His notice in the boston globe gives more detail of this world renound master. http://www.legacy.com/obituaries/bos...&pid=129251091 Uncle Henry was not a engraver but was a sculptor of gold and stones. I know he made special orders for Jackie Onassis, and designed and made gems for the English royalty, country of Lichtenstein and for the Church. There are some goldsmith’s and master jewelers, and stone setters on the forum, and some that have heard the name, so if there is interest of one of the last true masters, Here is a link to his last masterpiece The documentation of his works. click here http://www.amazon.com/Henry-Shawah/d...pr_product_top At 88 he had a great life and gave us examples of art in gold many will treasure for centurys to come. God Bless You, Mike Showah |

Re: Notice Passing of Master Goldsmith and sculptor
R.I.P. Henry Shawah
The passing of a master craftsman will always leave a void in the world. That is why it is important for us to pass on what we know of our knowledge and techniques while we can. CRB
