new studio colors

any ideas on what colors i should paint my new studio. i'd like to see
what some of you have done to yours.i spend a lot of time in there so i don't want no purple walls may be some thing easy on the eyes. and can i also get some thoughts on what type of lighting i should get..i want to do it right the first time. and try not to have a bunch of after thoughts..

I have the same thing in my studio. Flourescent fixtures with daylight bulbs.

I like the light it gives off. I don't know if it is the spectrum or that they are just brighter but the daylight bulbs seem to give more light than standard bulbs. It also is a better light. You don't get any yellow tinge from the daylight bulbs.

I think it is the spectrum..natural light ...versus artificial...its like being outside ,,without the nasty bugs and other things of nature....like wind, rain, snow..etc..


I neglected to mention...my lights are in 4 bulb banks with diffuser panels...the panels take any glare away so it is like looking at your work on a cloudy day....still much brighter than standard fluorescents as Ray mentioned. Makes for a nice working enviroment...
