Re: PalmControl pictures
I tried setting them on the wood for background, but the burl handles do not stand out enough. There is not enough contrast between the two. The background wood needs to be darker.

Re: PalmControl pictures
I can't wait to get the new handle for my Chasing tool, Remember, I have the Ivory handle on the footpedal Classic. The wood will look real good next to it, not to mention how it will feel.
Will try to send the tool out today. Try a blue background for the picture for contrast, black or gray should work well too Thanks, Tim Last edited by Tim C; 03-06-2007 at 05:49 AM. |

Re: PalmControl pictures
Beautiful. Very cool setup with the CO2. About how long would it be possible to engrave before the CO2 cartridge would be depleted?
Thanks, Peter |

The cartridge pictured is a 25 gram one. With the 25g adapter, the CO2 regulator will accept 25 gram CO2 and provides around 15 to 20 minutes of engraving time. (available from bicycle shops). Approximately $6 each Link to a 25 gram cartridge Without an adapter, the CO2 regulator accepts 88 gram CO2 cartridges (available from WalMart and paintball stores at approximately $6.50 each) This cartridge provides about 1.5 hours of engraving time. Link to 88 gram cartridges With the 567g adapter, the regulator will accept the larger paintball CO2 cylinders like the 20 ounce, 567gram cylinder, which provides around 8 hours of engraving time. These are refillable at a local paintball store for $3 to $4. Link to a 567gram cylinder The 20ounce bottles is the best way to go for engraving at shows. Around 8 hours for $3 to $4. I am finding this easier than hauling an air compressor to the show and looking for an electrical outlet. |

Re: PalmControl pictures
Thanks for the info Steve. Those burl handles are just beautiful as are the Air-Gravers.
