Picture First Try At Engraving
Got my engraver yesterday, played with it today. Aluminum scrap. First some straight lines, then some rounds stuff. First pattern was my own signature and then a simple pattern I'll work more on later. Thanks Steve for the equipment I think I'm going to enjoy learning.

Picture flintlock gun build / engraving
last winter I went to a gun building school and in the process became intrigued with engraving. Which led me to go study with Carl Bleile. I am just getting started again as I took a long break to build two Roubo benches from scratch. This gun was a total scratch build from a drawing. Only the castings lock and barrel were purchased.

Picture Flintlock rifles
Some views of different rifles I've built with the focus on the art. You'll notice that I generally build a used looking rifle, I like the cared for warmth of an object, but bright and shiney is an option.
