Default Help, I'm going nuts!!!

Hi folks,

I'm stuck in a hospital bed at home, and I have been in one for almost a month.

Anyway, does anyone have any games or stuff that they can recommend that I can do to keep me busy?

I've been reading, “Steel Canvas” and “British Gun Engraving”, cover to cover.

Even if you know of a good book to read or game to play, I'm looking for anything I can find that I can do from flat on my back.

Thanks,
Tim

Tim

Don't be to hard on your wife, its rough being a caregiver. It took me a long time to see the things that I put my wife though. She does the best that she can but its hard to see the one that you love in pain or unable to do something that they once did. I do know how you feel about not being able to do what you want to, keep your sprit up things will get better.

Do you like seek and find games my wife plays them if you do I will find out the site she uses and give it to you. The same site has lots of other games too.

Please don't misunderstand my comments, my wife is the greatest, she takes excellent care of me. And we get along great, it is a running joke in the house about Nurse Cratchet, resulting from an actual experience in a hospital.

We keep our spirits up with joking and stuff but don't worry, she is appreciated for all she does and what she has to go through every day.

On a more cheerful note, are you talking about online games, see I never thought of that?

Thanks,
Tim

Tim, if you like to read and like history, I recommend the Winston S. Churchill books on WWII. The six volumes are The Gathering Storm, Their Finest Hour, The Grand Alliance, The Hinge Of Fate, Closing The Ring and Triumph and Tragedy. I am on my 4th or 5th read of them and always find them very engrossing. S

Thanks Sam,

I'm always interested in history, funny it wasn't that way in school.

Thanks for the tip, I'll check them out on Amazon.
I watch the History channel as much as any other channel in the house.

I wanted to get the picture down that has the Model A swamp buggy we talked about, but this has slowed everything down a bit.

Starting to get feeling back in the legs now, so I'm able to get out of bed once and a while.

Thanks to all for your help and advice, it was a big help getting through this.

By next week, I should be back to doing chores around the house, I know the wife has a few for me to do.

Thanks again to everyone.
Tim

Really glad to hear of your progress. Mobility is so precious. My short battle with a herniated disk made me appreciate being able to walk and get around more than ever before. Keep it up. Sam

Thanks to all for your help getting through this. I am back on my feet and walking (of sorts) again.
I still deal with the nerve damage, but this has helped some in the mobility areas.
If any of you ever have to go through this kind of procedure, and I hope not, it is worth it.
It is scary not being able to move your legs for 2 - 3 weeks, you start to wonder if you will ever feel your legs again, but the feeling comes back.
Thanks again,
Tim C
