Great to finally find this forum.
I have just purchased a Vigor EN-775B engraver which I am planning on tinkering with for creating pockets for pool cue inlays. I already how to modify the manual engraving portion to accept a dremel flex type mount. My question is, is it possible on these types of engravers pantographs to use a 1:1 ratio. A lot of us get our inlays from luthiers supply companies and the patterns are pretty much unavailable. Any info provided would be greatly appreciated. Erich Sternberg Sternberg Custom Cue Works |

I think it might be difficult to modify your machine to a 1:1 ratio. I have several pantographs, including two New Hermes, a Deckel GK-21 three dimensional, and a Gorton that has ratio capability from 1:1 to infinity. The Gorton is a floor standing machine that probably weighs in the neighborhood of 800 lbs. I have a friend who has done pool cue inlays on a similar machine.
