Joseph: Your method is still used by some wonderful engravers the new tools are just an assist to the way you engrave but on the same level there are some who would like the hamer and chisle method Just think of how much you can same in tools by your method. Fisrst a person must have the art foundation and if a person has that ability then he is in the grove and things will come much easier. Some start out with all good intentions but lack the foundation and will have a time to be ever be professional engravers move it and pass on your talent John

    Hello Scott,
Thanks for the compliment on the print. I do not have access to a copy of it as the plate belongs to the Cody Fire Arms Museum. I will have a few copies of the DaVinci portrait and some of a portrait of an Intimate Woman .
Jim Blair has pulled 10 prints off of each plate. They are somewhere between here and Wyoming, I expect their arrival soon.
If you are interested in a copy let me know.
I do hope that you can find time to visit, as I truly enjoyed my few days of travel with you, even if you do cut a mean log while asleep.
    Joseph

hey Joseph, I just found this message. I do hope I can get down there sometime soon. I would be interested in buying one of these prints.
